Crude Oil Quality Association Featured in Energy Intelligence "Oil Daily"
The COQA summer virtual events drew the attention of Energy Intelligence, who published two articles in their "Oil Daily" newsletter on June 4th and June 7th, 2021.
The first article, "Climate Concerns to Play Greater Role in Crude Pricing", drew upon the presentations of Solomon Associates and MAX Midstream to emphasize the role of crude quality as companies intensify their focus on carbon emissions. The article highlighted the opportunity for COQA to help determine metrics and best practices to quantify carbon intensity and neutrality.
The second article, "North America Crude Takeaway Sufficient — for Now", looked at the broader market and the downturn in new midstream infrastructure development in light of COVID-19 and regulatory and investor pressures amid an accelerating energy transition.
COQA thanks Energy Intelligence for covering our summer events.
