Welcome to the Crude Oil Quality Association!

The Crude Oil Quality Association (COQA) is dedicated to the belief that maintaining the integrity and consistency of the refining characteristics of crude oil streams is of importance to all parties involved in crude oil activity, from production locations to the refinery.

To this end, we hold three meetings annually.  These meetings are open to the public and we welcome your attendance and involvement.

Upcoming Events

  • --Canceled-- 2020 CCQTA - COQA Joint Meeting, Ft. McMurray, Canada

    Dates: 09 – 11 Jun, 2020
    Oil Sands Alberta

The Crude Oil Quality Association (COQA) together with the Canadian Crude Quality Technical Association (CCQTA) have decided to cancel our planned June 2020 joint industry meeting, scheduled for Ft. McMurray, Alberta, Canada.

In light of the growing coronavirus concerns and associated travel restrictions, it is clear that canceling these meetings is the right action to take to prioritize the safety and health of those involved.

The joint meetings between our two organizations, traditionally held every two years, are much anticipated and have had tremendous participation and sponsorship. Discussions are in progress with the Ft. McMurray venues and at this time, we are anticipating delaying the joint meeting until June of 2021, and meeting in Ft. McMurray, where we would look forward to an outstanding meeting featuring technical presentations, and a tour of the oil sands facilities.
